Extra large parrots make wonderful pets, but they do have special needs.  Imagine how much mental and physical energy an extra large wild parrot expends each day.  Not only do these flying giant parrots fly hundred's of miles each day, they forage for food by chewing up wood, digging through follage and cracking nuts open that you or I would have to use a hammer to open.
