Captive African Grey Parrots are not subjected to the adversities of the wild so their metabolism is different from their wild cousins. African Grey Food Needs to Meet Special Needs

Calcium deficiency is a fairly common problem for African Grey Parrots.  African Grey food should contain appropriate levels of calcium to prevent deficiencies. Comon vegetables and fruits that contain calcium are listed below.
