Since each bird perch on the Java Parrot Tower is a real piece of java wood perch shapes and each of these bird stands is unique. Please note: While coffee is harmful to birds, coffee wood is non-toxic and proven safe for birds.
Java Bird Stands are made from the wood of Coffee Trees that have been cut down prior to replanting the plantations. Usually the trees would be burned but Parrot Tower now collects the trees before they are burned and turns them into a range of decorative and hardwearing bird stands.
First the trees are trimmed and the bark removed. They are then baked to dry the wood and harden it. Finally they are shaped and carved to produce beautiful Java Parrot Tower Bird Stands. By the end of the process the wood is very hard and smooth, a perfect wood for bird stands. This makes it very easy to clean and very hardwearing, even resisting the attention of a large parrot beak!
