Flight suits are a god sent. I became a flight suit user around 4 years ago and to this day I still use them and had never had a problem. Theyre easy to get on your bird after you get the knack for it. I have four birds, three handicapped and one rescue, and all but one of my birds wear a suit (my parakeet wont even let me touch him, so a suit would ovbiously be out of the question). After the initial chewing at the straps and trying to pull it off phase, all my guys leave their suits alone and associate them with fun times out of the cage. Flight suits make it possible to take my conure camping with me, take my birds out without looking messy, and lets them run freely around on the couch without having to worry about cleaning up a mess. For anyone who says these are a waste of money, you either arnt giving it a fair chance or your birds arnt hand tame.

It depends on your bird ... |

My African Grey HATED these things. My Blue and Gold is fine once I put them on, but I don't put them on as per instructions. He will NOT allow me to put them on if he is standing, but is fine if I have him lie on his back then slip them on. (He seems to panic whenever anything is down around his feet.) He reminds me of a baby the way he lies there and allows me to put it on! It seems that if your bird is upset playing "peek-a-boo" or being snuggled or placing a napkin over him, he won't likely accept the flight suit, either. If the bird is okay with wearing something, THEY ARE INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL!

i love them now with them my macaw can go any where with me. they are super easy to put on and take off. zippy just stands there while i put it on her and steps out of them when its time to take them off. without them she wouldn't be able to go to stores or rides or just come with me around the house on my shoulders. before i found these i had bird poop down my back and on my carpets. this product i do highly recommend if your bird is truely tame and easy to handle they won't be a problem. they are truely a god send. thanks to whoever invented them from me and zippy!!

Bird/Diaper Flight Suit |

I agree whole heartedly with the first review Nov/07. First, it's hard to decide what size to get. I have ordered twice and still haven't found the proper size to fit my tiny conures. They are exceptionally difficult to put on the bird. My birds became angry and annoyed and nipped several times and I still didn't get the suit on. The one that was too big however went on easy, unfortunately it wouldn't stay on. If there was a half star, I'd have picked that. For the price times 2 times 2 tries to find the right ize it is a very poor buy.
